TODD LONG, BOARD MEMBER
Todd Long brings the perspective of a Third Party Service Provider to Commercial Roof Systems, with experience in Asset Management, Property Management and Investments, (Ownership and Transactions).
Todd’s focus for Commercial Roof Systems is business development as well as account management where he oversees individual projects and ongoing service and maintenance for key clients. Todd also very involved in project financing and alternative energy when applicable.
Todd has over 27 years of experience in commercial real estate and a combination of technical and marketing skills that include expertise in transactions, management, operations and technology. Todd spent 11 years as COO at Carter, (the largest full service commercial real estate firm headquartered in the Southeast at that time). Carter was a developer of Atlantic Station, a 138 acre brownfield remediation and redevelopment project and site of the world’s first LEED® (Core & Shell) multi-tenant high-rise office tower.
Todd applied this working experience to found TurnKey Sustainability, Inc. in 2007 as major projects at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Turner Field commenced. When appropriate, TurnKey Sustainability’s “Solutions Group” introduces other “best in class” contractors and service providers that are leveraged in concert with Commercial Roof Systems to maximize the benefits and return on investment for Commercial Roof Systems’ clients.
Todd has an understanding of property ownership and management in a way that no conventional commercial company can begin to appreciate. Todd has lead us boldly in to the direction of clearly understanding that we can “be more than a commercial roofing company.” He takes us into the very heart of your business. We have learned the importance of this clarity of “understanding our client”. Todd has pushed Shawn to the limits of his engineering experience to repair and refurbish the roofs that have been pronounced dead by our competitors.
While this is not the best option to support the diminished profits for the installation of a new roof system for the roofing contractor, it servers the owner well, if the property is a short term hold, or only 70% occupied.
